Life running in the dessert

About Me

My name is Paul Naylor. Delsol Running started as people started approaching me to teach them how to run. This has happened off and on through out the years, and more people has been asking for tips and advice. I have always been grateful to offer advice, however, I am not a national all star runner, or one that has been one in the college ranks.

I have been running for many many years though. I have run many races and events, from the 5k to the marathon. I have also ran in several distance relay team and obstacle events. So I feel that I have much advice to offer from my experience on running.

So here is where you can come for real world advice and tips. Advice that comes from a regular guy, who works a full time jobs, and enjoys running in spare time. I feel that I can relate to people as most people that could benefit from this blog is runners from all walks of life. One thing that I want all to know when getting advice and tips from this blog; is use, try it out, and see how it can make you become a better runner. Some things will help, and other things will not. This is all normal, so try out the advice you see here, try it out in your training runs, and see what works best for you. This will best help you prepare for you next race.

Running has been a big part of my life over the years and I plan to run for the next while. I have talked to other about retiring from running at the age 30. Well, as that birthday gets closer, I feel that I have many more years left to hit the pavement.

My Disclaimer:
Much of the advice that I give for this blog comes from my experience as a runner. I did not study exercise science or nutrition or anything similar. My main studies have been in Information Technology. I have done a lot of self study when it comes to running, exercise and nutrition, and I have actively running and participating in races for almost 17 years. So I feel that I have a lot of experience that I can share. As with any advice, training or new product, test it out yourself and see if it works for you. If you are unsure about starting a exercise program, consult with your doctor. I hope that everybody that comes to this blog can learn something from every running level.
